Noé & Christian Sardet spent a week gathering new plankton footage and photos at the Station Biologique de Roscoff, France. This was a great opportunity to collect and observe the plankton found of the Brittany coast. To capture these creatures… As usual 5D MarkII and MarkIII with Canon Macro 65mm lend and mounted on Zeiss and Leica Microscopes. Observations showed mostly diatoms and micro-algae but also some zooplankton! Some of the material gathered will be featured in Christian’s Sardet’s book coming out in 2013. Look out for it…

The trip ended with a two day imagery workshop at Oceanopolis in Brest. An interesting session which gathered museum specialists, nature cinematographers and film makers, biologists, divers and plankton lovers! The workshop was the initiative of the Plancton du Monde non-profit organisation and Oceanopolis.
